  1. Some questions for KrazyKarskin about dedi-server preferences

    Hi Krazy/anyone else. I'm still learning the ins and outs of this program and have some more questions so please bare with me.

    1)I can't help but wonder....what are the actual benefits of creating a dedicated server via the separate Synergy client app, rather than doing so from *within* Synergy's own menu or vice-versa?

    2)I have noticed that when doing it from within Synergy, I am allowed to change the map and apply console commands from within the game. The downside is, sometimes my friend's game will crash with that silly "Bad Inline Model" error upon loading a new level. How do I prevent him from getting this error?

    3)Furthermore, I would probably prefer to host and create a server from within synergy if it means not having to alt-tab out of the game in order to access my dedicated server client window from Steam. It's a royal pain but alternatively, I wouldn't mind using the separate Synergy dedicated server app if I meant I could access it while being in the game and without having to alt-tab out. Is there any way to accomplish this? Perhaps some overlay plugin or something?

    4)Keep in mind I only have Half Life 2 installed, not Ep1 or 2. Does it behoove me to install the other two episodes to get synergy functioning properly?

    Please advise and share your thoughts on this.

  2. Adding HL2, EP1, etc to a dedicated listen server

    Hi. OK I got my dedicated server up and running via steam. How do I add Half Life 2, and the rest of the two episodes to my game list so that I can select them from the game list? All I see are Team Fortress 2, some other game and Synergy. Please help.
