This will be my second forest like level, but instead of a abandon town this is more back country.

Who likes hammer shots? I started it tonight after getting a bit tired of working on northport which I will probably get out soon. I have some minor things to do but what is getting me frusterated is I'm getting the "To many face styles" error on hundreds of brushes but I only have just a few more lights in the map as before sad.gif Anyway enough of that, back to forest.

I like the look of what you've made so far.

Whiffen, seriously though - there's never an excuse for hammer-based screenshots. Corden-compile or full-bright it up, the quality is much better either way.

My god whiffen. I already liked how it looked on the hammer shots. But the improvement in quality with these ingame ones.... jees. Loving it.

I like the mood the map has, and since it's a forest map you automatically win.
Some things I noticed:

* Remove the shadow from the plants on the left (First screenshot)
* Add wires going from the utility pole to the house

It's very good for a start. It also reminds me of the cabin from Evil Dead (lovely movie).

Update, I'm mainly getting everything setup atm. I will go through it all and fix up all the small stuff lingering around like those shadows or displacements not sewn properly / covering the stairs and floating tree syndrome.







I'm adding an entrance to the mines on the right side on last pic (Lack of tree) but haven't got to that yet.

Don't worry the mines wont be to big smile.gif

nice smile.gif ,there is some good brushwork here and there like caban and pit or so .
Lightning give a nice ambiance.
But one things ,sun is so far to big or something wrong with it but dispite of that ,it's a good start wink.gif .

Its not actually a sun, the HDR made it look like a sun from this angle and screenshot, its nothing noticeable in-game.

WIP mines, this is the first section of the mines you will encounter. This one just goes from that first area in the first pics above to the next forest area. You find much larger mines later in the level that feature a deeper earthy feeling like the antlion fighting level in Ep2 (ep2_outland_02)

I hope this map has a good storyline/ai scripting behind it I can just imaging this being an epic map based on what has been provided so far. Nice job.
