If i got hl2 and ep2 steam version... but dont have ep1...will i be able to play ep2 maps ?

And if i got hl2 and ep2 steam and ep1 non steam will i be able to play both ep1 and ep 2 maps ?

You need ep1 on Steam to play ep2 in Synergy.
