Invalid steam ID ticket Refers to a crash on joining a server.

Every time I try to join a synergy server, I get a message saying my "IDticket" was invalid and kicks me. It doesn't matter if it is a big server or a friends server, it does it any time. Please help me with this, it is annoying and now i can't play synergy. :(

Try this if you haven't, it works for some.

Well it didn't work, I still get the message, maybe they will fix it in an update thanks anyways.

I, too, have recently attempted to no avail.

It appears to be a steam problem, rather than the synergy itself: I am able to play in Synergy via LAN, but nothing more.

im about to try the delete from steam stuff it dosnt let you do lan even if you go in via console (map *mapname)

this is ridiculous....'i can't copy 221GB to same hd...or am I missing something?
and this invalid steam ID ticket stuff? need a fix now

edit: Got the server going now...after I deleted over 200 GB of data. Reinstalled Steam and all the hl2 content.

You don't have to delete all of Steam. Just delete the "config" folder.

This bug sucks. There are overall less players on Synergy then when the grey avatar bug was there.
I notice a lot of people trying to connect to my server, but get an invalid steam ticket error.

too late for that. I have still 199gb of games to install...but it worked.
