wouldnt it be cool to play through portal with some friends or strangers...???? i mean like limit a game to 2 players cause like 5 people would be blasting portal everywhere.

In a older thread, I actually had a list of games/mods that I would've liked to see. However, Portal has a ton of scripts and stuff like that, and if we changed something just for Portal, it could affect the other games currently supported for Synergy. In short terms, no. It just would be chaos to see co-op Portal. Portal 2 however has co-op

Yes, but Portal has all the HL2 items. Portal 2 doesn't, and I don't think you can add weapons.
But Portal's multiplayer code is horribly screwed up... even if you can connect the game crashes when you get near any portals.
