Server troubles.

Just so everyone knows, I too can't connect to any servers "Invalid Steam UserID Ticket" error, just as I'm about to enter into a server.

I'll try to figure out what is going on.

UPDATE (Dec. 2, '11):

Chus found a solution. For those of you who cannot connect to any servers due to an 'invalid Steam UserID Ticket' error:

You need to rename (or delete) your Steam user ID folder within the "userdata" folder of the Steam directory;

- Browse to your "C:\Program Files\Steam" directory,
- Open the "userdata" directory,
- Delete your user ID folder (or rename it)

This solution worked for my buddy:

"Thinge - The fix seems to be deleting your /steam/config/ folder. As mentioned, it triggers an account security thing from Steam which requires you to re-active your Steam account, but otherwise it should fix. "

I think logging out and telling them you forgot your password will also work but I haven't tried it.

I had the same problem. Thank you for the fix. I tried looking on how to fix the game, but couldn't find an answer.

How do I find which one is my ID. I am really confused. There are 5 folders with numbers on them, How do I know what one is my User ID

Try renaming the "userdata" folder temporarily to "_userdata" (do this when Steam is closed).
