I just started up a synergy server using srcds. Was wondering how I can become server operator without admin plugins and how I can get clients to download a small number of models and textures, really its not that much, without using sv_downloadurl, I dont really want a site and I think people can just download directly from my server with no problems, I just dont know how to do that. I think only some clients end up with the models, though I have had examples, I dont know how reliable they were. Thanks for your help.

Edit: I almost forgot, Is there anyway I can add more maps to the call a vote menu? Thanks

For admin, you need to set the rcon_password value in both the server and your client to the same thing. Then, to execute commands on the server from your client, you just put "rcon" before the command in your console.

If the server has the files and the players don't, and they are needed for the map you are playing on, they'll donwload them direct from the server. This is both slow, and causes lag for other players on the server however, so it's a pretty bad solution.
