Unfortunately, we were not told what the other four mods were. But I'm sure they'll be great too, Valve seems to pick really fun games. (TFC, DOD, CS and so on.)

You can't really compare it like that, alot has changed. You should think of Synergy (OB) as a brand new coop mod, that works like SinglePlayer - just with multiple players.

I really like the sound of that.

Am i right assuming that the ep1 and hl2 screenshots on the frontpage are taken in old version? as they still have the old hud in, which i really didnt like.

Correct, old screenshots. (Was just showing hl2, ep1 and ep2. Probably shouldn't have done that, but we'll get some new media anyway.)

Finally going to be able to play true HL2 coop with my brother. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
(Tbh, that's all I've wanted since 2004...)

Glad to see some news about the release. I was starting to get a little worried there for a while. Of course, I'm sure transitioning to the newer engine didn't go without problems, kudos to the developers for getting it done.

As posted above, does this mean Synergy will be available via hldsupdatetool?

I would believe so, as other mods (CS:S, for instance) are distributed via hldsupdatetool.

If this is the case, hopefully it will eliminate the hassle of extracting all of the required files for proper operation.

Congratulations on getting Synergy integrated with Steam. This is a big step forward and just goes to show how popular this modification is.

I look forward to the new features and assets on offer for creating some really epic co-operative experiences. I will also be producing a fourth trials map for the new Synergy - more in game material = more interesting puzzles :P
