Okay once again, getting some strange issues running Synergy OB. I have extracted and uploaded everything as detailed in this page: http://synergymod.net/docs/?p=flist All 45,000-something files. The maps are crashing at random it seems, so I don't know if I am missing files yet again or what. Here are some examples a friend took for me
Screen 1: Theres a scripted_sequence alyx is told to look at. She is never told to look away so funny things like this happen.

Mr. Happy: Screen 2: These rocks should not be enterable.

Screen 3: Entering this area, where zombies seem to lack AI, causes crash.

Specifically the steps I took to install were:
- Install Synergy via the hldsupdatetool / steam installer.
- Ran a verify_all command, which returned fine.
- Uploaded the extracted files
- Fixed the mount.cache file, MOTD, mapcycle, maplist, and server.cfg
- Ran the server

[synob] Linux Server Crashes This all seems familiar...

I'm in a similar situation but my server is a little more... complicated.
I'm running the linux dedicated on a CentOS 5.2 64bit installation that is sitting on top of VMWare ESXi server. I'm having issues with the network being unstable. I haven't figured out if it is an issue with the 64bit linux and the source dedicated or if it is just some kind of problem with the VM itself. I'm going to try another OS in a new VM and see if that makes a difference....
Also, it appears that the HL2 base files have to sit in the orangebox directory structure? Even with the source 2007 files? And so I have to assume the Source 2007 files need to be on top? Such a mess...

According to the main News post about the release, they are aware of the Linux problems and they're going to be fixing it soon. I can't wait!
About the file uploads, you're correct. You still need to upload the files extracted from the GCF to the /path/to/install/orangebox/hl2/ directory. If you are going to install Metastasis you need to upload everything into /path/to/install/orangebox/metastasis/ for that to work also.

Those of you having Linux woes, try this one: http://synergymod.net/files/server_i486.zip
Be sure to turn off auto-restart on your server, so Steam doesn't overwrite that new SO file.

I've tried that and still not working. I don't have the -autoupdate flag on my launch command, so I am assuming that means it's disabled?

Thanks. I am having someone else run through it again taking screens, and I'm gonna post the full output of the server once he makes it crash. Unfortunately I too am having the "can't download the game" problem so I can't test myself.
EDIT
Okay, here's some more bugs:
The "I'm not looking at you" Game:

Zombie in half:

Forbidden Love Between Two Zombies

The "I Bet it Contains Gravity Gun Ammo" bug

This "dividing line" moved when the player did

Here's links to two full server outputs.
